Who we are
Stanford Taiko is Stanford University’s resident taiko ensemble. With over 30 years of history, we aim to spread the art of Japanese American ensemble drumming to the local community.

First Performance 2025
Our first years’ first performance will be on January 15th from 9:30 to 10 in Wilbur Dining (Okada side)! It is free and open to the public–please bring your friends for our half-hour set.

Fall Open Workshop
If you’re looking to learn a bit of taiko, are interested in auditioning, or want to see our end-of-workshop performance, come to our fall open workshop! We’ll be teaching how to play betta taiko, how to play a short piece, and performing another piece at the end.
Fall open workshop is from 2pm to 3:30pm on Sunday, September 29th, in Dinkelspiel Auditorium. Come on by!
