Stanford Taiko is Stanford University’s resident taiko ensemble. With over 30 years of history, we aim to spread the art of Japanese American ensemble drumming to the local community.

Auditions 2026

Are you a current Stanford student interested in joining? Come to our annual try-outs, starting on Monday, September 29th! If you’d like to audition or are just curious, learn more here.

Fall Open Workshop 2026

Interested in auditioning, or just looking for something fun to try with friends? Come to our fall open workshop to learn a little taiko! The workshop is from 2pm to 3:30pm on Sunday, September 27th. Everyone is welcome!

Spring Concert 2026

Our annual spring concert took place on Saturday, May 2nd in Bing Concert Hall. Spring concert is our biggest performance of the year, and this year’s show featured multiple new compositions. Watch the livestream archive here!
